Karaage Chicken Bao

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken tenders

marindade

  • 1 tbsp soy

  • 1 tbsp sake

  • 1 tbsp ginger, julienne

  • ½ tsp sesame oil

  • ¾ cup potato starch

  • oil for deep frying

to serve

  • bao buns

  • cucumber

  • coriander

  • red onion

  • black and white sesame

  • japanese mayo

  • lemon wedge

  • shichimi togarashi

Method

  • Place the chicken in soy marinade for at least 1 hour.

  • Coat tenders generously with potato starch – ensuring they are fully covered.

  • Shallow fry until golden.

    Steam buns and serve with toppings.
